This Gibeon Meteorite wedding band is handmade by me, in my shop on the western slope of Colorado.
Over the years I've made countless iterations of meteorite rings, but none like this; it's the first of it's kind.
Estimated at 4 billion years old, the Gibeon Meteorite fell in southwest Africa (Namibia) in prehistoric times. Initially it was used by tribes to make tools and weapons superior to that of ground metals that were elemental (non-alloyed).
It's truly a unique material that is 100,000,000 times scarcer than gold. Floating through the primordial soup of the universe, and smashing into our planet was but a blip in it's life, and now I've made it into a circle for your finger. It's incredible.
The unique aspect of my design is simple: I stabilize the meteorite in a vacuum, etch it with acid, and seal it with sterling silver. This process insures that the metal will never rust nor corrode.
The ring is entirely coated in .925 Sterling Silver making it durable, while enhancing it's natural beauty.
Band Width: 6 mm (custom widths are not available, it's a natural material cut from slabs of prehistory meteorite)
**Silicone activity band
If you have any questions, please let me know! I'd be happy to help
IMPORTANT: There are no refunds nor exchanges on this design. Meteorite is incredibly difficult to work with, and each ring takes hours upon hours of work to complete to the highest quality.
This specific design is made to ordered. My current build time is at 3-4 weeks.
